When arriving home from an overseas trip..im not sure why but my mind automatically goes into overdrive/holiday withdrawals and i almost instantly start mentally planning my next big vacay.
I dont know whether it is just the fact you have to come back from the little holidat coma fantasy land you have been in for the last few weeks or just that you are back to normalcy and need something to look forward to.
I think it is a bit of both but i am in desperate need for something to look forward to....
So i have decided (with very little persuasion)  that my next trip will be a girls trip to the sun soaked Greek Islands.
Guess i had better stop shopping so much and start saving!

A while ago i moved out of a house i had shared with my partner for a year....and while everyone told me to take everything that i had bought where do you draw the line??
The actual packing part turned out to be bitter sweet, i had my 5 best girlfrends there with me who all turned up with 2+ bottles of champagne to get us through the afternoon.
Lets just say that after an hour we had to stop the packing and focus more on the booze.
All my friends had different views on what i should claim as mine...some were along the lines of "take the TV he will die without it", or "take the couch he will have nowhere to sit "and the clincher was "you pay for the foxtel...cut that off".

But in the end do you really want a broken relationship to turn bitter because your ex is currently sitting on a milk crate staring at a blank wall where the TV used to be and thinking that B*TCH.

I think when you do this it has to be done in stages and maybe one day i will go and get the TV and couch which are both mine, but for that first initial move out period stick with the non controversial items like your shoes and clothes..then go from there.
If you ever do need to go through this make sure you have our friends there to help you and a LOT of alcohol on hand...it really does help :)

On Friday night i finally got to go and try Mrs Sippy for myself....I LOVED it.
Such a mellow relaxing atmosphere...yes there were maybe a few too many puffed up lip chanel wearing tools and a few too many boozed up sleazeball real estate agents but all in all the mood in the place was buzzing and vibrant.
The service was amazing and super friendly...we had cocktails and pizza in the bar area and i would highly reccommend Amaretto Sours and the prawn pizza. Had a seriously fun night there and cant wait to go back....i hear Saturday nights are even better.

If you are like me and have been to every second wedding under the sun but your own, you will no doubt understand what i am talking about....what is suitable to wear to a wedding as a guest.
You dont want to be in something so racy you are going to out-do the bride, but then again you dont want to feel fugly all day.

What you need to do is find the happy medium between looking like a slapper at andwick races and a nun.
Always check if black is an acceptable colour to wear...most of the time it is but if it is a super religious wedding you are going to get quite a few stares when people think you are in mourning.
Another key factor is the weather! if its stinking hot but your dress code is black die you need to pray that the reception venue has air con and stick with the floor length.

Cocktail dress attire is always more fun though...i love the dresses below.

One of my girlfriends just asked if i would be interested in going on a girls 'GLAMPING' trip....to which i replied "what the hell is glamping?"
My imagination obviously wasnt in overdrive because it is the word for 'Glamorous Camping"
Now i am not a camper by any means....even when i was younger i think the closest thing i got to camping was a powered campsite/resort with a tennis court, 5 star amenities, 4 pools and mini putt putt.

I know all my friends are in the same boat as me (like to sleep with a solid roof over my head)  i think this will be an extremely interesting trip considering none of us can even put together a simple IKEA bookshelf let alone actually hammer pegs in to put up a tent.

Once we have been on this trip i will def be posting some pics and let you know how it goes...between you and me im going to have a hotel booked on standby.

I was a florist for 6 years. It was my after school job as well as my job while studying and i even dabbled when still having a full time job. Even though i am no longer in this industry i still fancy myself a flower expert haha...i like fillng my house with weird and wonderful smelling flowers. Flowers make any person smile (secretly even men) My favourite florist is Jeff Leatham, he is just a pure flower genius...what i wouldnt give to spend a day learning from him. Most of the pics below are his designs!

Wedges are my favourite type of shoe for spring/summer. Perfect for that annoying situation when a daytime lunch turns into night time drinks and you dont have time to go home and do a quick change. A high heeled wedge doesnt seem too much during the day or too low key for night..
