Well it is safe to say the weather in Sydney right now is complete balls! Tonight I am going to one of my best girls birthdays at Mr Wongs…Bring on the dumplings!

After tonight the rest of my weekend revolves around doing not a whole lot.

Catching up with the girls and fingers crossed a little beach session.

Monday sees me in Melbourne for the Allan Border Medal, I am actually quite nervous about this whole red carpet business.

Fingers crossed I do not fall on my face.

Ps apologising to all who have been around me this last week about my carb rage.

This post is inspired by a conversation I had the other day with a girlfriend who has been seeing a guy for a few months.

I actually did not know what to say to her, every situation is completely different.

One says that you spend time with the one you like and you always make the time no matter what.

How long do you date a person before that weird and awkward transition time from ‘the chick/bloke you are seeing’ to ‘girlfriend/boyfriend’

Delicate and very awkward topic to tackle.

I personally have not ever had to have this conversation, it has just been thrown into an introduction eg. This is my girlfriend/boyfriend bla bla bla

There is a fine line..but I think by a certain amount of time if you haven’t slapped a little label on it one must assume that the other person may not be that into you, you are just there to satisfy their other needs.

It is always nice to know where exactly you stand instead of in relationship limbo...if it bothers you best to just talk it out!

So the long weekend is over and we are owed 2 days extra I feel, due to the fact Sydney is basically flooding right now.

Feeling like I am getting sick = time to dose up on the fresh juice.

 When you have been on the good old dating scene for a year or more it can become a bit monotonous.

I have since become quite guarded of who meets my family and friends.

However, when you actually meet a nice one it can take you by serious surprise.

One of my very close guy friends has been on only a few dates with a girl and is head over heels already, can’t put his finger on it but something about her has made him like her more than the others.

You know you have problems when your own mother sits your down and says ‘ me and your father have had a chat and have decided that these guys all have one thing in common and that is YOU, so maybe YOU are the one with the problem not them’

Thanks mother for your insight…however you have not been single in 30 years and believe me the hippy era when you were all smoking weed definitely affected a huge majority of Sydney men.

I put my dating past down to the above.

When you meet someone you don't have to rule out after the first date and find yourself actually wanting to spend all your time with them I think you know you have found someone worth investing your time in.

I mean may not be forever but its Nice to meet a good one.

This week feels like it has already been going FOREVER and it is only Tuesday!!

Had a pretty chilled out but very fun weekend with good friends.

Got a pretty exciting invite last week- am heading to the Alan Border Medal in Melbourne with my best friend!

Have been lucky enough to be given a beautiful gown to wear and my killer heels arrived today!

CAN.NOT.WAIT it is going to be an epic night- need to start googling the crap out of everything cricket though.

There are many other fun occasions to look forward to before this event such as Australia day which I am sure will be large!

Also yesterday got the news that a friend has sadly passed.

RIP JM you will be truly missed by so many!
