I am not sure if any of you have ever experienced this but over the weekend one of my friends experienced possibly one of the most awkward situations a single gal can have....
A guy she thought she was keen on...(and then realised while they were out having drinks...she was actually not keen on at all) did the whole i will drop you home in the cab, and instead of just letting her out like a normal person also got out and before she knew it the cab had gone and she was stuck with the guy.
WHAT DO YOU DO IN THIS SITUATION?
He ended up staying and all she wanted was for him to eff off..even in the morning he just could not take a hint...so..this brings me to my next question for those singles who want girl or guy to take the hint and leave...
HOW DO YOU GET THEM OUT OF YOUR HOUSE?? Without being an absolute asshole..see below for a few helpful suggestions so you can get this down to a fine art.
* Offer to drop him/her home, this gives you the upper hand because you seem like a nice person and they think you are doing them a favur in actual fact you are getting them the hell out of your house.
* Say you are sick and need them to leave because it is highly contagious (if you use this one make sure you don't go anywhere after that you may bump into them)
* Tell them you have an extremely busy day ahead of you so they had better go, leave at the same time as them, wait until the coast is clear then go back and curl up in bed without their annoying face beside you.
* Brutal honesty- just tell them you had fun but please leave.
* The old 'I have a very important appointment to go to' works every time.
Goodluck with these...if you get really stuck give me a call and i will feign a break up and you can be my knight in shining armour for my 'time of need' we will really just hit the booze but they don't need to know this.
